About HOEK architecture

HOEK is based in the charming Village of Catskill near the historic city of Hudson, New York. Along the river and with majestic views on the Catskill mountains.

HOEK specializes restoration architecture, landscape restoration, interior restoration and advice regarding the care of decorative arts and furniture.

HOEK offers assistance to organizations or individuals in the discovery, retention or maintenance of the spirit, or ‘sense’, in buildings, gardens and/or other built environments. Through the study of interiors, architecture and landscape, the DAARG will recommend and assist in the implementation of a plan to allow the historic integrity and people past speak of a place.

USA-NY State fully licensed and registered architect André Hoek is an International Associate member of the AIA and Royal Institute of Dutch Architects. He has been practicing architecture for over 30 years, 25 of which has been in his own restoration architectural firm. André is also qualified to restore historic landscapes surrounding buildings in order to create a context for the restoration. Besides that all he loves to give hands on advice and very practical direct solutions for small technical and esthetic issues on your building!

Andre Hoek is an active trustee for the Columbia County Historical Society and a part time professor for over ten years on preservation issues, building archeology, heritage maintenance and historic gardens on the Technical University in Utrecht-The Netherlands
